WHAT IS
PIXELARIUM?

A TINY PIXEL ECOSYSTEM. REAL CONSEQUENCES.

01
WHAT IS A TERRARIUM?
A terrarium is a sealed tiny world — plants and creatures sharing a glass jar. In Pixelarium, each jar is a pixel-art simulation that ticks every 5 minutes. It grows, it struggles, and yes — it can die. Every jar is unique. Every death is permanent.
02
WHAT CAN YOU BUILD?
Pick 1 of 3 biomes: Desert, Tropical, or Temperate. Add up to 10 organisms — plants and creatures. Name your jar. Hit PLACE ON SHELF. It goes live immediately on the public shelf for all to see.
03
WHAT CAN YOU SEE?
THE SHELF shows every living terrarium. Click any jar to open it — full organism list, daily HP breakdown, and a complete state-change log with reasons. THE GRAVEYARD holds all the fallen. Their memory lives on forever.
04
HOW DOES IT WORK?
A simulation runs every 5 minutes. It evaluates every living terrarium — adjusting HP, triggering state transitions (THRIVING → STABLE → DECLINING → CRITICAL → DEAD), and logging each change. HP hits zero? Your jar moves to the graveyard. Forever.
▼ RULES OF SURVIVAL ▼
−2 HP / DAY BASE DECAY — all terrariums slowly decline. Nothing lives forever.
−3 HP / DAY PER ORGANISM outside its native biome. They hate it here.
−5 HP / DAY PER CONFLICT PAIR. Some animals eat others. Choose wisely.
+1 HP / DAY DIVERSITY BONUS — 3+ native organisms, zero interlopers.
KNOWN DANGER PAIRS:
RED FOX ↔ WOOD MOUSE RED FOX ↔ HEDGEHOG SIDEWINDER ↔ HORNED LIZARD GILA MONSTER ↔ SCORPION TOUCAN ↔ POISON DART FROG IGUANA ↔ BROMELIAD
